Sudhakar Desai

Sudhakar Desai is CEO & Director of Emami Agrotech Ltd. — the edible-oils, biodiesel and packaged-foods business of the Emami Group, with one of India's highest-capacity refining facilities at Haldia, West Bengal.

He concurrently serves as President of the Indian Vegetable Oil Producers' Association (IVPA) — the umbrella body for India's organised, branded edible-oil manufacturing sector. In that role he is the industry's lead voice on packaging standardisation, manufacturing-grade specifications, and the wider dialogue between branded refiners and the regulator.

Desai has led Emami Agrotech through a period of significant capacity expansion and brand investment — including the growth of Healthy & Tasty, the company's flagship refined-oils portfolio — while continuing to develop the biodiesel and oleochemicals adjacencies.
