About Desai
Sudhakar Desai is the CEO and President of Emami Agrotech Ltd, one of India's largest edible oil refiners and the company behind major Indian brands in cooking oils, biodiesel and specialty fats. Emami Agrotech operates one of the country's most integrated refining footprints and is a significant importer of crude palm, soybean and sunflower oil.
He is also the current President of the Indian Vegetable Oil Producers' Association (IVPA), the body representing India's vegetable oil refining and processing industry on matters including import policy, customs duty structure, GST framework, biodiesel mandates, and oilseed procurement.
At GLOBOIL India 2026 he will speak on the CEO Panel addressing operational themes for Indian refiners through H2 2026, with focus on duty-arbitrage transmission, biodiesel feedstock economics, and procurement strategy under Indonesia's evolving export framework.
