About Asthana

Sanjeev Asthana is President of the Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) and CEO & President of Patanjali Foods Ltd. — one of India's largest integrated edible-oils, food and FMCG players.

He brings a rare combination of policy leadership (through SEA) and operating leadership (through Patanjali Foods) to the GLOBOIL platform. Under his SEA presidency the association has continued to provide the Indian government with industry positions on import duty structure, port-arrival logistics, the National Mission on Edible Oils–Oil Palm (NMEO-OP), and the soyabean import question.

Asthana's career spans over three decades in agri-business and the food value chain, including senior roles at Reliance Retail's foods business and Olam International, giving him both upstream sourcing and downstream consumer-distribution experience.

On the GLOBOIL stage he is consistently the voice that bridges the policy table in Delhi and the refining floor in Gujarat — a dialogue the conference is built around.
