Aashish Acharya
Runs Patanjali Foods' global soft-oils trading desk. 28+ years across agri-commodity supply chains.
About Acharya
Aashish Acharya is Vice President — Soft Oils Trading at Patanjali Foods Ltd., where he heads the company's global trading desk for soybean oil, sunflower oil and the broader soft-oils complex.
He has more than 28 years of experience across agri-commodity supply chains, with deep relationships across the Black Sea sunflower-oil belt, the Argentine and Brazilian soybean-oil exporters, and the wider international merchant-trading community.
Patanjali Foods is one of India's largest integrated edible-oils, food and FMCG players, and the soft-oils trading desk is a critical part of the company's origin-sourcing and refining-margin management. Aashish's responsibility extends from forward-contracting and freight optimisation through to import-clearance, refinery-feed planning and Indian-market price positioning.
On the GLOBOIL stage he brings the senior-Indian-buyer perspective — particularly the view from the largest organised refiners on global soft-oil supply, freight, hedging and the duty-arbitrage between palm and soft oils. His contribution is consistently a window into how the largest Indian buyers actually deploy capital.
