Pradeep Chowdhry

Pradeep Chowdhry is Founder and Managing Director of Gemini Edibles & Fats India Pvt. Ltd. — the company behind the Freedom brand of refined sunflower, soyabean, rice-bran and palmolein oils, a leading player across the eastern and southern Indian retail markets.

He founded Gemini after an earlier career at ITC, where he held senior commercial roles across the conglomerate's FMCG and agri-business divisions. The Freedom brand has scaled into one of the most recognisable regional edible-oil names in India, with strength particularly in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

On the GLOBOIL stage he brings the regional refiner-owner perspective — the operating economics of running edible-oil plants outside the Gujarat–West India belt, distribution challenges in the south, and the competitive dynamics between national brands and strong regional incumbents.

Chowdhry is consulted across the industry on consumer-edible-oils brand-building and on the operating reality of scaling a regional refiner into multi-state distribution.
