Angshu Mallick is Executive Deputy Chairman of AWL Agri Business — formerly Adani Wilmar Limited, the maker of India's largest edible-oil brand, Fortune. He was previously the company's Managing Director and CEO, taking the business through its IPO and the broader rebrand to AWL Agri Business.
Over more than 30 years at the company, Mallick has been one of the principal architects of the Indian branded edible-oil category — building Fortune from a regional challenger into a household name reaching an estimated one in three Indian families across packaged oils, rice, atta, pulses, sugar and rice-bran derivatives.
He is a frequent voice on Indian consumer FMCG strategy, on the economics of edible-oil refining at scale, and on the supply-chain design required to operate across the country's diverse retail formats — from organised modern trade through to general-trade kiranas in Tier-3 and Tier-4 cities.
Mallick is widely interviewed by Indian business media and brings a refiner-CEO perspective to the GLOBOIL stage that complements the trader, producer-country and analyst voices.
