Ryan Long

Ryan Long is the Head of Derivatives Product Development at Bursa Malaysia. He is responsible for expanding and improving the derivatives product offerings of the Exchange, including the FCPO crude palm oil futures contract — the global benchmark for palm oil price discovery and the world's most actively traded vegetable oil derivative.

Ryan brings more than 25 years of experience in the derivatives market. Over the years he has assumed different roles within the industry in Malaysia and Singapore, spanning physical and OTC market broking and trading, institutional futures dealing, commodity risk management, as well as proprietary trading prior to joining Bursa Malaysia. He is currently a member of the Price Review Committee of the Malaysian Rubber Exchange (MRE).

At GLOBOIL India 2026 he will speak on the Trading Panel and host the Bursa Malaysia derivatives briefing, addressing hedging strategy, open-interest dynamics, the recent palm-soy spread behaviour, and the role of FCPO in managing the operational risk created by Indonesia's B50 mandate and single-gate export reform.
