Jagjeet Singh Kandal

Jagjeet Singh Kandal is Country Director for IDH India, the Sustainable Trade Initiative — a global convener that works with companies, governments and civil society to accelerate market-driven sustainability in agri-commodity supply chains including palm oil, soy, cotton and edible oils.

In his role he leads IDH's India programmes on sustainable palm oil sourcing, smallholder inclusion, deforestation-free supply chains and the country's readiness for EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) compliance. He joins the GLOBOIL India 2026 Sustainability panel to speak to how the Indian palm and edible oils value chain can align to global sustainability benchmarks without eroding cost competitiveness for domestic refiners.
