Kang Wei Cheang

Kang Wei Cheang is Senior Vice President, Commodities Asia at StoneX, based in Singapore. He specialises in palm oil, vegetable oils and agricultural commodity markets, advising commercial and institutional clients across Asia on futures and OTC hedging strategies, risk management and market outlooks.

Cheang works closely with participants throughout the agri supply chain — from plantation groups and refiners to trading houses and end-users — helping design programmes that manage exposure across the physical and financial legs of the vegetable oils complex. StoneX is one of the world's largest commodities intermediaries by volume, and its Singapore desk is the group's Asia-Pacific hub for palm and vegetable oil derivatives execution and structured-hedge advisory.

He is a frequent commentator on developments in global vegetable oil markets, and at GLOBOIL India 2026 will join the Market Intelligence programme to discuss hedging positioning, FCPO and SOP flow dynamics, and how Asian buyers are managing price risk through the second half of the 2026 marketing year.
