Nelson Low
Executive Director for Agricultural & Alternative Investment Products at CME Group, based in Asia-Pacific — driving CME's agri-commodity strategy, partnerships and new product development across the region.
About Nelson Low
Nelson Low is Executive Director, Agricultural Products, at CME Group. He is responsible for growing CME Group's agricultural commodities business across the Asia Pacific region — driving product strategy, marketing and education, developing existing partnerships and identifying new business opportunities as Asia continues to move to the centre of global agricultural price discovery.
Nelson joined CME Group in April 2008 and brings more than 25 years of experience in the global commodities markets. Prior to CME Group, he served as Vice President, Product and Business Development at the Singapore Exchange (SGX), where he was responsible for expanding the footprint of the exchange's global agricultural commodity derivatives business. Before SGX he worked in physical commodity trading roles at Avebe U.A. and André & CIE S.A., covering agricultural products ranging from raw bulk commodities such as corn and soybeans to food-grade materials including starches and proteins.
Nelson earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the National University of Singapore and is a CFA charterholder.
At GLOBOIL India 2026 he joins the Day 2 Trading Panel — 'Powering Global Edible Oil Trade Through Smart Exchanges' — bringing CME Group's perspective on South Asia CPO futures, cross-listed hedging tools and how buy-side and sell-side desks are managing an increasingly cross-border edible oil risk book.
